ADLS Sunshine School is an institution that has a strong desire to serve the community. It caters to the educational and social needs of those children and parents who belong to lower middle class of the society and hence strives hard to achieve constant quality in life through education.
It is run by Andhra Dramatic and Literary Society and is affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. It also runs a Hindi Medium school affiliated to Jharkhand Board. The school is following a curricular suited to fulfill the learning requirements as specified by the council for classes X & XII.
It was hundred years ago, at the convergence of Damodar, Kalimati & Sandline road, a piece of land caught the attention of a few young, enthusiastic andhraites. Their evening meetings led to the formation of an association called Andhra Dramatic and Literary Society. Though the land was full of dirt, rubble þy bushes, the enthusiasm of these youth did not die out. Fortunately, in 1918, that piece of land was allotted by the Steel Company to the A.D.L. Society. The founder members of the Society worked hard and put in tremendous effort and selfless devotion with a purpose of running a primary school, small library, dramatic and other cultural activities in the Society’s own premises.
In 1928, ADL Hindi Medium School was established which is affiliated to the Jharkhand Board.
Finally, 1975 saw the birth of ADLSSunshineSchool, an institution that has a strong desire to serve the community. Over the growing years ADLSSS has shaped its culture from Mission, Vision, and Core values in tune with the philosophy of Andhra Dramatic Literary society i.e. to preserve the Indian culture and values along with rising graph of academic performance. We are an English Medium Co-educational School with 1489 students with classes ranging from Nursery to Std XII with, 51 teachers, 11 non teaching & 15 supporting staff.
